BadshahMosque is located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The mosque was built during the reign of Mughal rulers and was built by the famous King Aurangzeb Alamgir during his reign. This mosque was built between 1671 and 1673. Badshahi Mosque is the second largest mosque in Pakistan and the fifth largest in the world. Every year people from different countries of the world come to see this beautiful mosque.
The construction of Sajd started in 1971 under the direction of Muzaffar Hussain Shah. The entrance to the mosque compound is from a two-story building made of red stone, which is beautifully decorated. After passing through the main gate, a wide sandstone courtyard is spread over an area of 276000 square feet. The mosque compound has a place for 100,000 worshipers to pray. The courtyard is enclosed by a single luxury arcade. The mosque has three marble domes, the largest of which is in the middle of the mosque.

In 1799, Ranjit Singh captured Lahore and stationed his army there and tied up his horses. Then in 1857 the British occupied the subcontinent. The British ruled the subcontinent for 89 years and then after the formation of Pakistan in 1947, the government of Pakistan took over the protection of this mosque.From 1939 to 1960 it was repaired at 48,95,880 RS the cost came, and now this mosque is a place of worship for Muslims as well as a great masterpiece that millions of people visit every year.
